When I first started speaking and leading, I assumed (incorrectly, of course) that everyone I met would have the “Giving Gene.”
Fast forward twelve years, and I must tell you, this is not the case.
If you’re one of my friends who recognizes the unique opportunity that giving offers to the Giver, read on.
If giving and making a difference isn’t your jam, this probably won’t be of interest, so hop off here and I’ll “see” you again next Friday.
Since you’re still with me, I’ve got some juicy content to share with you this week.
There are 2 questions I commonly get asked when I meet a fellow Giver.
The first is, “Should I start my own Nonprofit?”
If starting a nonprofit isn’t front of mind, but they would like to give, I get asked this second question instead “How do I choose a Nonprofit?”
I started working with my first nonprofit, CASA, as an advocate for foster children more than 30 years ago. I’ve had the honor to work with a variety of organizations that are doing their part to heal poverty every year since then.
Whether you are currently contributing to a cause, or you’d like to contribute in the future, I have 2 short videos that may help you with making your own choices about who to partner with.
Next Saturday, May 20, I will be in San Francisco hosting a live business training with my good friend, Caterina Rando in support of The Power of Love Foundation.
If you are looking for an opportunity to receive personalized support with growing your business, you may want to join us.
You have the opportunity to join us in person, or online.
Either way, it will be my pleasure to work with you to grow your own organization, so you can give to yourself and others.
Last little bit before I start sharing links –
Every woman attending will be invited to make a one-time donation of just $47 to the Power of Love Foundation.
You’ll find out who they are and how they serve women and families when you visit the registration page, but before you go,
I’d like to say “Thank you” for your time and attention today.
As I said in the beginning of this Love Note, not everyone has the “Giving Gene”
Nothing wrong with that, and at the same time, I am deeply touched that I get to spend my time with women like you, who understand that Giving causes Growing.
Thank you for all you do in your own community to make the World a better place.
I hope you can join us next Saturday – virtually or in person– so we can love on you and return some of the goodness you put out for others.
Sending Love and Gratitude,
