Since we’re not together in person…
Last night I spoke for the first time on a stage with an audience (that wasn’t my own) since the beginning of the Pandemic.
I just had a few minutes, so it wasn’t a long talk, but the feedback from some of the audience members was that it was just what they needed to hear right now, so I thought I’d share what I can with you here via email, since you and I are not together in person right now.
Recently, I’ve been interviewing members of our Limitless Women Community who have been experiencing business growth during the last 18 months. My goal was to learn what they are doing differently from other business owners who are struggling financially.
Not surprisingly, there are several major themes that keep coming up again and again with the women who are growing their businesses during this fascinating time in our history.
1) Instead of looking for how to “Pivot” (the most overused word in business in 2020), they looked for how to renew their passion for their business and their clients. They chose to recommit to their outcomes and honed their internal systems, recognizing they could get the results they wanted by being less attached to how they achieved them.
2) They re-evaluated their priorities. Businesses that grew during this time were led by their mission and vision. They also initiated deep client retention and appreciation which resulted in new revenue streams.
3) They remembered how precious and fleeting time is. Once the busyness of travel and other time consuming activities were off the table, many of the most successful women I spoke with shared a renewed sense of work-life balance. Increased, self-directed boundaries resulted in better health and better relationships with themselves and others.
