I’m wondering if you can relate to this feeling?
“I don’t know if I can do this (or if I really want to). There are so many moving pieces – I never feel caught up.”
You probably kicked off the New Year full of passion for your 2024 goals. Now that the holidays are over and we are 2 months into the year, it’s beginning to feel like those goals are just dreams that you won’t realize.
Guess what?
You’re not alone.
Often one of the greatest gifts we have as visionary leaders is the ability to see what other people can’t see.
Then we get to wait for the rest of the World to catch up 😉
Here’s what I want you to know.
You’ve got this.
God has Divine Timing for your vision. You would not be able to dream of your business in full flow, your health better than ever and your relationships being nurturing and loving, if it wasn’t coming for you.
When it feels overwhelming and life looks too full, you’re experiencing what we call “growing pleasures.”
I know it doesn’t feel exactly “pleasurable,” but I promise you this –
In order for you to experience the fullness of the vision you have, you will need to expand your capacity.
The things that worked for you in the past, will no longer work.
If you’re old enough to understand what I’m saying here, “You need a new operating system – (DOS anyone?)”
Here’s what it may look like and what you can do now.
→ You started your business to do what you love (working with clients), but now your days disappear in a cloud of email, marketing campaigns and tech issues.
→ You love the idea of being a business owner, but now your business is creeping into your personal life after hours in places it has “no business” being.
→ You know you need help. You just can’t figure out who to hire or how you’re going to pay for the support you desperately need.
If you’re experiencing any (or all) of this, please know you are not alone. These are the signs that you are ready to grow your business (and yourself) into your next greatest version.
After 35 years of entrepreneurship, I can share these signs with you, because I have personally experienced them again and again. They used to throw me off, but now I’ve come to recognize them as beacons of hope.
Here’s the good news
If you can hang in here and allow yourself to receive some help, there really is light at the end of the tunnel.

Right now
Stop
Breathe
Ask yourself – what really matters here? Try these simple steps to get yourself back on track and into a better place.
- What’s happening with your body? If you’ve been in front of a computer for hours, get up, walk around and if possible, get outside. I have an old-fashioned hour glass that sits on my desk. When I look up and the sand is in the bottom, it’s time for a break.
- During your break, take some deep breaths and focus on your surroundings. What are you grateful for right now?
- After you’re centered (not before) think about someone you love that you’d like to connect with. Make sure you settle down first so you can reach out and be a good listener – you get a gold star if you can have a catch up with a loved one without letting work into your conversation.
- Return to your workday. Ask yourself if your timelines are on target or if they need to be moved. Rome wasn’t built in a day and your business is the same.
- Ask for help from someone who has successfully navigated what you are experiencing. Chances are they have systems and structures of support that you could use right now, if you will allow yourself to be supported.
It’s tough to have perspective when you are building the vision. Every time I build or remodel a house, I have those extra antsy days right before we complete the project where it feels like it will never get done, and it’s hard to know where to focus.
I pause
I breathe
I take a step back
I start to have perspective
The project turns out better than I envisioned.
I hope you find this helpful. It is a formula that has served me in growing myself and my business again and again.
As I write this to you, I am taking a dose of my own medicine and taking off this weekend to spend some time with my Beloved and some good friends.
When I get back on Monday, I’ll jump back in refreshed to all the magic that is happening here at Limitless Women.
Thanks to the Good Lord and my doctors, I am back on the road and stronger than I’ve ever been. If you’d like to connect with me live-online or in person, please check out my “Where’s Laura?” section below.
Until I get to speak with you again, please remember to be kind to yourself and enjoy the journey.
Sending Love,
